SHOES OFF, PENCILS OUT
Ciara Moss (theatre technician) has joined forces with Guy Martin (sound designer) and have finished programming Qlab with all the sound cues and tracks that are being used in the play. Our world of sound has now been created! Going over the script, we've managed to uncover moments we could enhance a scene with a soundscape, or in moments we could take away sound and allow the text to do the work.
Jessica Whiley (director) got the play up on it's feet. Focusing on the different relationships Millie has with herself, the characters, and the audience. We went over her opinions - How much is hidden? How much is shown? Due to the fast nature of the play, we're focusing on analysing the text first before we start considering the blocking. In the build up to the Barons Court Show, the team is wanting to focus on the build of tension. Where is it it needed? Where does it come in too soon? This applies to music, as well as delivery on stage. So far rehearsals are moving quickly but have been entirely rewarding!
